First Time
SHORT
Director: Adiraj Singh
Runtime - 17 min
A man and a woman in their mid-40s meet at her house for dinner. The woman has prepared a home-cooked meal, and they sit at a beautifully set table. Their conversation is filled with nervous laughter and tentative questions as if they are on a first date.
The woman confides in the man, about feeling neglected and unappreciated in her marriage. He shares his frustrations, talking about work pressures and the fading romance in his relationship. As the evening progresses, they start to open up more, sharing memories and inside jokes that hint at a deeper connection. Subtle clues are scattered throughout their interactions—a familiar anecdote, an intimate understanding of each other's habits. As the night draws to a close, we slowly realize that they are not strangers, but a long-married couple role-playing to reconnect and address their relationship problems in a creative, heartfelt way
The atmosphere grows warmer and more relaxed as they laugh, dance in the living room, and reminisce about better times.
The aim of this shoot was to portray playful courage
